In 2013, the UK premium women's fragrance market was valued at approximately 1.02 billion U.S. dollars, the first time during the reporting period that the value exceeded the one billion U.S dollar mark. The value of the premium women's fragrance market far exceeds the value of the mass women's fragrance market. In 2014, the value of the mass women's fragrance market in the United Kingdom was 218.1 million U.S dollars, compared with the 1.06 billion U.S dollar value of the premium market. 13.12 billion U.S dollars, compared with the 1.06 billion U.S dollars of the premium market.

The premium women's fragrance market is also more valuable than the mass market on a global scale, although the contrast is not as stark. In 2014, for example, the value of the women's premium fragrance market worldwide was 16.58 billion U.S dollars, compared with the mass market value of 13.15 billion U.S dollars.
