U.S. fire statistics: incident rates 2021, by community size
In 2010, the smallest communities (population less than 2,500) had the highest fire incident rate with 9.5 fires per thousand residents in the United States. On the other hand, communities with between 25,000 and 49,999 people and those with 250,000 residents or more had the lowest rate, with three fires per thousand residents.
