UK consumers spending more on housing costs 2011-2015 This statistic depicts the share of UK consumers spending more on housing costs (e.g. rent, mortgage and maintenance) in the United Kingdom from 4th quarter 2011 to 4th quarter 2015. According to Deloitte's consumer tracker, consumer spending on housing costs over the past three months of each quarter had increased. In quarter 4 of 2013, the net percentage of those spending more in the last three months was up 10 percent.
