Agricultural sector greenhouse gas emissions in the United Kingdom 1990-2021
Greenhouse gas emissions in the United Kingdom attributable to the agricultural sector fell from 54.4 million metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent in 1990 to 47.9 million metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent by 2021. The lowest figure recorded during the period in consideration was one year, at some 46.6 million metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent. Methane and nitrous oxide are the two main gas sources in the agricultural sector greenhouse gas emissions.
