U.S.: venture capital investment by industry 2022

In the United States, software companies saw the largest venture capital (VC) investment in 2022. Nearly 90 billion U.S. dollars of the venture capital funds raised in the United States were invested in software companies in 2022. This is followed by commercial products and services companies, wherein approximately 37 billion U.S. dollars were invested. The top three was completed by pharma and biotech companies, which 31.3 billion U.S. dollars was invested.
