In Canada, the highest value of venture capital (VC) deals were closed in the province of Ontario in 2023. A total of 3.3 billion Canadian dollars worth of VC deals were closed in Ontario that year. This was followed by Quebec, wherein the value of VC deals amounted to 1.4 billion Canadian dollars. The top three were completed by the province of British Columbia, in which VC deals closed amounted to 1.2 billion Canadian dollars. These three provinces also had the highest number of VC deals closed in Canada in 2023.
