Court proceedings of cybercrime cases in Spain between 2011 and 2017 This statistic depicts the number of cybercrime cases that occurred in Spain between 2010 and 2017, according to the reports of the Spanish State Prosecutor's Office. In 2017, the number of cybercrimes came to 6,676 cases. Nevertheless, it is important to keep in mind that in order to ensure an appropriate comparison of recent information with that of previous annual periods, it is important to point out that due to the modifications in the Criminal Code of Law, the incorporation of additional types of innovative crimes or alteration of preexistent classifications had to be effectuated.
