Market share of voice call service providers by gender 2022

As of the first quarter of 2022, 73 percent of men in the United Kingdom (UK) used WhatsApp to make voice calls via internet, while 77 percent of women used it. Overall is the distribution between men and women relatively equal in what suppliers they use for making calls using the internet. In 2022, the total number of respondents, which amounted to 3,197, used WhatsApp the most as a service to make voice calls using the internet. Zoom and FaceTime, along with WhatsApp, were the top three services used. The use of the internet to make voice calls has been steadily increasing throughout the years, and it is expected for it to probably keep on increasing in the upcoming years.
