According a 2019 survey of employers in the hospitality sector in the United Kingdom, 28 percent of respondents stated that hard-to-fill vacancies were due to a low number of applicants with the required skills. That was compared to 20 percent of respondents that indicated the low number of applicants in general as the main reason for hard-to-fill vacancies in this sector.
