This statistic illustrates the per capita consumption of frozen food in Germany in selected years from 1978 to 2019. In 2019, consumption of frozen foods amounted to 46.9 kilograms per capita, the slight increase compared to the previous year. The term frozen foods includes deep frozen vegetables and fruit (also fruit salads), as well as meat and fish products, pizzas and deep-frozen dishes. Baked goods, side dishes and snacks, as well as potato products are counted among frozen foods. Ice cream is not included in this group.
