
Self-sufficiency rate for meat in Germany 1991-2021
This statistic shows the self-sufficiency rate for meat (beef and veal, mutton and goat meat, horse meat, offal, poultry, venison and rabbit) in Germany from 1991 to 2021. The self-sufficiency rate indicates the percentage of required agricultural products that are produced domestically. In case of undersupply (under 100 percent) the respective products have to be imported. In 2021, the self-sufficiency rate for meat was roughly 121 percent.
