Number of bank branches in Spain 2010-2022
Between 2010 and 2022, the number of bank branches in Spain fell by almost 60 percent. Specifically, the number of bank branches fell from 43,267 in 2010 to approximately 19,300 in 2022. The decreasing number of bank branches is not a unique, Spanish trend, as branch numbers fell sharply in the European Union as a whole in the same period.
