The statistic shows the consumption of raw materials of fossil origin as feedstock in the chemical industry in Italy from 2008 to 2017. In 2010, the consumption of fossil raw materials in the chemical industry reached its peak, at 8.4 million tonnes of oil equivalent. As of 2017 the chemical sector used about 5.7 million mtoe of fossil fuels.
