Canada's chemical industry greenhouse gas emissions 2005-2020
Canada's greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions resulting from the chemical industry have been on a mostly declining tendency since 2005. In 2020, such emissions amounted to some 6.6 million metric tons of CO₂ equivalent, down from 6.7 million metric tons of CO₂ equivalent one year earlier. In comparison to the figure reported in 2005, this represents a decrease of 34 percent.
