Survey on trust in the police in Sweden 2016, by age

This statistic shows the results of a survey on the level of trust in the police in Sweden in 2016, by age. Especially younger people trust the Swedish Police since 41 percent of individuals interviewed and only about a quarter of the age group 60 years and older stated to have high trust in how the police handles their duties. 32 percent of the latter indicated that they have little trust in the authority and even 13 percent have very little confidence. Nevertheless, trust in the police prevailed in Sweden - whereas 40 percent of the individuals considered the police to be reliable, 36 percent said the opposite.
