Latin America & Caribbean: renewable energy capacity 2019, by country

In 2019, the renewable energy capacity in Latin America and the Caribbean amounted to more than 262 gigawatts. Brazil had the largest installed capacity in the region, at nearly 142 gigawatts (or 54 percent of the region's total). Mexico ranked second, with a capacity of 25.6 gigawatts.
