Visitor numbers to Burgers' Zoo 2011-2021
From 2011 to 2021, the number of visitors to the Burgers' Zoo in the Netherlands decreased overall. In 2021 there were 602 thousand visitors to the Burgers' Zoo in the Netherlands. This follows a considerable drop in 2020 when the zoo reported 400 thousand fewer visitors compared to the previous year. While the decline in attendees in 2020 could be attributed to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the zoo has experienced a general drop in visitors since 2011. For instance, in 2011 it welcomed approximately 1.5 million people whereas by 2019, the number of visitors dropped to roughly 1.1 million.
