Number of Amsterdam Museum visitors in the Netherlands 2013-2020
In 2020, several museums worldwide had to close to the public, as governments put in place restrictions and stay-at-home orders to limit the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. In the Netherlands, the Amsterdam Museum experienced a significant drop in museum visitors in 2020 over the previous year. Overall, it was estimated that the museum attracted roughly 258 thousand people in 2020, whereas it welcomed around 689 thousand visitors in 2019.
