Number of grocery stores in Norway 2008-2015, by type
This statistic shows the number of grocery stores in Norway from 2008 to 2015, by type. During the period of time under survey, the number of discounters increased, amounting to nearly 2,080 in 2015. The number of convenience stores, on the other hand, decreased during the period from roughly 1.5 thousand stores in 2008 to merely a little over 1.1 thousand stores in 2015. The number of hypermarkets as well supermarkets also decreased over the survey period.
