Italy: consumer preference for durum wheat pasta in 2017

This statistic illustrates Italians' preferences concerning pasta flours in 2017. The survey results show that Italians are big consumers of durum wheat pasta: only around one in ten respondents (12 percent) usually eat exclusively pasta made from other flours. By contrast, the majority of Italians (62 percent) eats traditional durum wheat pasta, or enjoys both types as part of their diet (26 percent).
