This statistic shows the distribution of significant information security violations and threats in Finland from 2011 to 2017. In 2011 and 2012, data break-ins and DoS (denial-of-service) attacks amounted for the largest shares of all significant information security violations in the country. Since 2013, the statistic shows personal data breaches which accounted for a share of roughly 25 percent each year up to 2015. In 2017, customer data management errors accounted for 79 percent of IT security violations.
