As of 2020/21, Ajax booked a net turnover of approximately 125.16 million euros. Ajax’s football related revenue illustrates the income coming from the mentioned competitions. Champions League premiums were the highest football related revenue with approximately 78 million euros. By comparison, Ajax received roughly seven million euros from the national competition.

During the 2019/2020 season, the Dutch government decided to stop all football halfway through March". Additionally, the season was stopped altogether. It had, besides a direct result on the revenues of clubs, a significant influence the market values of players. Dutch international Donny van de Beek had the highest market (transfer) value. The 22-year-old Ajax midfielder saw his market value amount to 44 million euros, although in February his value was set on 55 million euros. Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech had a value decrease from 50 to 40 million euros, whereas David Neres and André Onana saw their market value amount to 36 million euros.

Successes outside the Netherlands were booked in both the Champions League as well as the UEFA cup. Ajax won the Champions League (including European cup) four times, won the UEFA Cup once and the intercontinental cup twice.
