England: share of non-decent homes from 2006 to 2021, by tenure

Private rented households had the highest percentage of non-decent dwelling conditions at 23 percent in 2021, while social housing had the lowest percent with 10 percent. For all tenure types, the percentage of non-decent dwellings has fallen from 2006 to 2021. In 2021, there were around 24 million homes in England and about 3.4 million were considered non-decent.
