Brazil: overweight prevalence among adults 2008-2018, by gender

According to the body mass index (BMI) computed by the source with the weight and height of the respondents, 57.8 percent of male Brazilian respondents were considered overweighted (BMI≥25kg/m2) in 2018, up from 57.3 percent of the men surveyed a year earlier. This figure was higher than the share of female respondants who were considered overweighted, which reached almost 54 percent in 2018.
