When asked how often they practiced any physical activity, OVER 30 percent of respondents aged 65 years or more said they have not practiced any physical activity in the past three months in Brazil. Across all categories on average, 14.6 percent of the people surveyed replied similarly.

*Survey was carried out in the capital city of each of the 26 Brazilian states, plus the Federal District of Brasília.
According to the source, physically inactive individuals were those who did not practice any physical activity during the past three months, including making intense physical efforts at work, going to work or school on foot or by bicycle for a minimum of 10 minutes per trip per day, and doing intense physical activity while cleaning their homes.
