Net turnover of the electricity and gas industry in Italy 2011-2021
In 2021, the net turnover of 2,145 gas and electricity companies in Italy peaked at over 90 billion euros. From 2012 on, the industry has experienced a gradual turnover decline with a temporary recovery between 2016 and 2019. The lowest revenue of this market sector was recorded in 2020, at less than 60 billion euros. A remarkable increase of 30 billion euros was then observed between 2020 and 2021.
