U.S. adults who consider themselves as environmental activists 2017 This statistic shows the share of U.S. adults who consider themselves as environmental activists or sympathizers, by type of action they have performed in the last year. As of March 2017, some 97 percent of respondents who described themselves as environmental activists stated they recycled everyday objects such as newspapers, glass and aluminum.
