The statistic presents the results of a survey conducted in January and February 2018 to find out about the situation of women and gender (in)equality across 27 countries. In Chile, female respondents guessed that approximately 57 percent of women had been victims of physical and/or sexual violence by a current or former partner or spouse at some point in their life. The source estimated that around 36 percent of women in Chile had actually suffered violence from their partner or spouse.
