Market share of generic drugs among OECD countries 2018
This statistic shows the percentage of units of prescribed drugs sold that were attributable to generic drugs among OECD countries in 2018. According to the data, in the United States generic drugs accounted for 81 percent of all units of drugs sold. Comparatively, in Canada, 76 percent of units sold were attributable to generic drugs.
