This survey describes the consumption frequency of retort packaged food products in Japan as of June 2017. The survey revealed that the majority of respondents, over 27 percent, ate retort food two to three times per month. In contrast, only about 0.5 percent of Japanese respondents claimed to consume retort packaged meals on a daily basis.
