London Stock Exchange (UK): Industrial companies 2018-2021

This statistic displays the number of industrial companies trading on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) from January 2018 to June 2021. It can be seen that the number of industrial companies trading on the LSE oscillated during the period under consideration with an overall decline. In January 2018, the number of industrial companies amounted to 310, by April 2018 this had fallen to 305 industrial companies, the lowest during the period. However, in the following months the number of companies increased to 323, as of June and August 2018, the highest recorded during this time frame. The number of industrial companies fell notably as of July 2019, most likely due to reclassification of industries in the Industry Classification Benchmark (ICB). As of June 2021, there where 271 industrial companies trading on the London Stock Exchange.
