Gender distribution of characters in German cinema productions 2016, by age
This statistic shows the gender distribution of protagonists in German cinema film productions between 2011 and 2016, by age. In the age group of 10- to 19-year-olds, 52 percent of main characters in German films were female, whereas in the age group of 50- to 59-year-olds only a fifth of characters were female.
