Teenage pregnancy rates in England and Wales 1990-2017, by age

This statistic presents the teenage conception rate per thousand women in England and Wales from 1990 to 2017, by age of woman at conception. Although the teenage pregnancy rate has declined across all age groups, there was a noticeable uptick in the mid 1990s which kept the overall rate over 60 until 2008 when the rate started to decrease sharply, eventually reaching a low of 33 by 2016.
