Italy: prevalence of generic sartan medication use 2010-2016

This statistic depicts the prevalence of use of generic angiotensin II receptor blockers (ARBs) in Italy from 2010 to 2016. According to data, the share of people taking generic sartan dugs, out of the total number of patients consuming ARBs, increased remarkably over time. As a matter of fact, in 2010, only 1.75 percent of patients chose the generic variant over the brad-name one, whereas in 2016, 12.99 percent of them went for generic ARBs.
