Peru: number of threatened species by type 2022

In 2022, nearly 570 plant species in Peru were under threat. At the same time, 136 amphibian species in the South American country were also considered threatened. Peru is among the countries with the highest number of threatened living species on the IUCN Red List in Latin America and the Caribbean.
