This statistic shows the distribution of commercial vehicles according to the European emission standards in the Italian city of Florence in 2017. About one in ten commercial vehicles in Florence belonged to the Euro 6 category, whereas 24 percent were classified as Euro 5. Another quarter belonged to the Euro 3 group.

*The European emission standards define emission limits for vehicles. The most stringent one, the Euro 6 standards, were introduced for light vehicles in September 2014. Since 2015, all newly introduced models in Europe had to comply with them. By contrast, Euro 0 vehicles are not subject to any emission requirements and are the most polluting category.
