Tesla: vehicle deliveries by main model and quarter 2022

Tesla delivered approximately 405,300 vehicles to customers in the third quarter of 2022. Deliveries of the Model S and the Model X dipped by some 8.17 percent their third quarter of 2022 volume, whereas the number of Model 3 and Model Y deliveries climbed up to over 388,100 units.

Tesla's new models are turning heads

The number of Tesla vehicles produced worldwide was brought to nearly 1.37 million units in 2022, up from almost 930,400 in 2021. Growth was mainly driven by two models, as 419,088 Model 3 and Model Y vehicles were built in the fourth quarter. This compares to 20,613 Model S and X vehicles. The Model 3 ranks as one of the best-selling mid-size luxury cars in the United States.

Tesla’s home-field advantage

Tesla delivered around 1.31 million vehicles in total in 2021. The American firm dominates the electric vehicle market in its home country. That said, Tesla is also keen to tap into new markets, including Europe and China.
