No country spends more money on the amber nectar than Australia. A new study by Statista has revealed how much people in selected countries spent on beer last year. In 2017, the average Australian spent 452.55 USD, a lot more than second-placed Ireland with $347.59. These figures aren't necessarily a reflection of consumption but rather how expensive it can be to drink a pint in different countries. Australia is renowned for high prices, as is Norway. Both have high spending levels, but Australia is only in place 13 for consumption and Norway isn't in the top 15 at all.
