When it comes to travel, most people in Europe are aware of the often extremely high costs involved with heading to nordic countries such as Norway
. While these assumptions are indeed well-founded, new analysis
by Post Office Travel Money has revealed a more surprising 'most expensive city' for 2018. Commonly associated with the traditionally budget stag weekend, Amsterdam was actually found to be the priciest destination of the 36 cities assessed. With a total cost of £534.51 for things such as a hotel, meal for two and a sightseeing bus tour, the city was considerably more expensive than second-placed Oslo (£510.47) and third-placed Reykjavik (509.64).
