Dunkin Donuts is the fast food chain that has the fastest drive-thrus in America. According to a study done by industry publication QSR, Dunkin customers have to wait an average of 3 minutes and 37 seconds for their orders. The study included 1,053 visits to ten restaurant chains across all U.S. regions and all times of the day.
Wendy's and Burger King needed 3:50 minutes and 3:55 minutes respectively per customer when the study was carried out, placing them second and third in the ranking.
The study also concluded that McDonald's had the most locations with order-confirmation boards and that customers could expect the biggest drive-thru order accuracy at Chick-fil-A. Chick-fil-A was also the place where most vehicles lined up in the drive-thru, according to the study. 35 percent of the time, six or more waited in line - much more than any of the competitors.
