The rumblings of a second independence
referendum in Scotland have never really gone away, and have only been amplified the longer and more damaging the Brexit process has become - the rise of #BrexitShambles on social media can probably be quite neatly correlated with the popularity of #IndyRef2.
And now, a new survey
by Lord Ashcroft Poll has revealed a more tangible effect among voters, with a majority (or a plurality when including 'don't know'/'wouldn't vote' responses) saying they would vote in favour of leaving the UK if there were to be a referendum tomorrow. According to the source, this is the first time in two years that the desire for independence has been in the lead.
