New polls have found that support for Scottish independence
has risen in the wake of Theresa May's Brexit speech, where she announced that the UK is heading for a hard Brexit. According to a BMG poll
, support for independence reached 49 percent by the end of January, up from 45 percent in early October of last year. The most recent polls have also revealed that a majority of people in Scotland do not want another independence referendum
before the conclusion of Brexit negotations.
