In terms of outbound travel spending, Eastern Europe, India, and Southeast Asia are emerging as fast-growing but still relatively small source markets compared with North America and China. Nevertheless, economic growth and an expanding global middle class have increased the number of first-time travelers in these redions, with outbound travel spending in India projected to grow by 9% annually. Southeast Asia is expected to see annual growth of 7%, with standout markets such as Cambodia, Malaysia, and the Philippines. Eastern Europe is also expected to grow at a rate of 7% annually, outpacing Western Europe by two percentage points.
