Russia: online footwear revenue distribution

In 2020, the majority of revenue in the Russian footwear market was derived offline. However, the share of online revenue is expected to increase over the next few years. While about 62 percent of online sales are currently made via desktop PCs, the Statista Consumer Market Outlook estimates that this will change over time. By 2023, 43 percent of online revenue in footwear in Russia will be generated via mobile devices.

Just like the market for Apparel, the Footwear market is currently shaped by a tremendous change of customers’ purchase habits. The upswing in e-commerce and store concepts created by major sportswear manufacturers is putting a lot of pressure on stationary retail stores.
