Latin America & Caribbean: undernourishment prevalence 2005-2018

The share of population in Latin America and the Caribbean whose habitual food intake is insufficient to maintain an active and healthy life was estimated at 6.5 percent in 2018. The prevalence of undernourishment in the region declined significantly between 2005 and 2010, but has increased a few decimal points since 2015. The subregion with the highest prevalence of undernourishment was the Caribbean.
