The total shop floor area of PLUS supermarkets in the Netherlands increased annually between 2014 and 2019. In 2014, PLUS supermarkets covered just under 260 thousand square meters of floor space. Five years later this figure had increased to over 291 thousand square meters in total. PLUS is a supermarket chain based in the Netherlands which belongs to the Sperwer Group and which was originally founded in 1928. In 2019, there were 271 PLUS supermarket branches.
