Argentina: public debt as share of GDP 2010-2018, by creditor type

In 2018, the debt that Argentina's central government owed to foreign creditors was slightly lower than the amount of debt held with creditors based in the country. Argentina's foreign debt in relation to the country's gross domestic product (GDP) has almost doubled in 2018, going from a share of 22.9 percent in 2017 to 41.8 percent a year later.
