Mexico: public debt as share of GDP 2010-2018, by creditor type

In 2018, most of the debt held by Mexico's central government was owed to creditors based in the country, with this type of debt representing more three times the amount owed to foreign creditors. In the period between 2012 and 2016, Mexico's both internal and external debts in relation to the country's gross domestic product (GDP) saw a continuous rise, but they have slightly decreased since then.
