Opinions on the treatment of the Kurds by the West in the Netherlands 2019

In October 2019, president Trump withdrew US troops from Syrian Kurdistan, allowing Turkish military to move into the territory. The Kurds, who had been an important military ally and at the forefront in the fight against IS, feel abandoned by the West, and a majority of survey respondents in the Netherlands agree with that point of view. Over 60 percent of participants stated they believe the Kurds have been mistreated by the West.
