Electrified rural households under Saubhagya campaign India 2019 by state

Between October 2017 and March 2019, Uttar Pradesh had the highest number of rural households that received electricity connections under the Saubhagya scheme. Over seven million households in rural areas of the state were provided with one LED light and a DC power plug. Bihar followed with over three million electrified households during the same time period.
The Saubhagya scheme or Pradhan Mantri Sahaj Bijli Har Ghar Yojana was a government project launched in September 2017 that aimed to provide electricity to all households in the country.
